Meet April

The law should not feel out of reach. Wisdom becomes powerful when it is shared.

April Lamai

Award winning Barrister, TEDx Speaker and Advocacy Trainer helping people understand the law and their own capacity.

April prosecutes and defends criminal cases in England and Wales and specialises in personal injury law. Her work is rooted in excellence, social justice and a commitment to helping others grow.

Alongside her legal practice, she is the founder of Life Lessons from a Lawyer, a growing platform that turns legal insight and lived experience into practical guidance for everyday life.

After graduating from Dublin City University in 2018, April moved alone to the UK to pursue the Bar. Her resilience led to pupillage at the Crown Prosecution Service, where she prosecuted criminal cases on behalf of the Crown.

She later accepted tenancy at No5 Barristers’ Chambers, one of the UK’s largest and leading sets. Today, she continues to build a career that combines rigorous legal practice with education, mentorship and public advocacy.
